Auxiliary Shield

The Auxiliary Shield was a shield utilized by the Auxilias, non-Roman citizens from the peregrini.

During the 1st century BCE, the shield was found and used by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa.[1]

The Auxiliary Shield was based on the square parma type shields which were actually used by gladiators. The actual auxiliary parma shields were oval.
