The Astraios was a trireme in possession of Asterion, a member of the Gods of the Aegean Sea branch of the Cult of Kosmos.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Astraios crossed paths with the Adrestia, a ship commandeered by the Spartan misthios Kassandra and captained by Barnabas. In the following conflict Asterion was slain.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The name of the ship is derived from the Greek word ἀστήρ (astḗr) which means 'star'; αστραῖος (astraîos) is the Greek word meaning 'starry'.
- The sails and the finery of the ship displayed the likeness of the Chimera, a beast in Greek mythology.
