Maybe he’s a known cross dresser or maybe in this particular instance he out of nowhere vehemently volunteered to dress as woman in a plan that possibly didn’t originally call for. Given how his "eccentric methods" were specifically mentioned by Septimius in his letter to Venator, I wonder if Alexus made a habit of dressing up as a woman.
