William George Keith Elphinstone (26 January 1782 – 23 April 1842), nicknamed Elphy Bey, was a Major General in the British Army during the 19th century. He is best remembered for his involvement in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, and for leading the 1842 retreat from Kabul during the First Anglo-Afghan War.
