The Spartan Military Camp was a temporary camp of the Spartan army set up within the Ruins of Plataia in Boeotia, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartans marched into Boeotia in order to weaken Kleon's position in Athens. Led by the polemarch Stentor, the adopted son of Nikolaos and thus the step-brother of the misthios Kassandra, the camp served as the army's local headquarters in the area.[1]
When Kassandra came to Boeotia by the order of King Archidamos, she was directed to the camp to meet Stentor. None too happy to see her, Stentor tasked her with dealing the Champions of Boeotia, hoping she'd die trying.[1]
While in the camp, Kassandra claimed the valuables within.[2]
