Sigurd (Old Norse: Sigurðr) or Siegfried (Middle High German: Sîvrit) is a legendary hero of Norse mythology and the son of Sigmund.

Biography[edit | edit source]

According to Norse legend, Sigurd killed the dragon Fafnir from behind with the Sword of Eden Gram.[1]

Legacy[edit | edit source]

In 876, the Viking Olav the Unlucky mentioned Sigurd in his mad ramblings to Eivor Varinsdottir.[1]
