Richard was an employee of Abstergo Industries. Following Lucy Stillman's recruitment by the Templar-owned company, she and Richard occasionally shared lunches together. Their acquaintance took a violent turn roughly a year into Lucy's tenure, when Richard and two other armed men broke into her apartment while she was sleeping.[1]
As they dragged her out of bed, the group mocked her with jokes; when Lucy attempted to resist, Richard struck her and explicitly informed her that she was going to die. This traumatic event only concluded when Warren Vidic intervened and ordered Richard and his companions to stand down.
