Port Roseway, now known as Shelburne, is a town in Nova Scotia, Canada.[1] During the American Revolutionary War, a group of Loyalists suspected to be carrying an Apple of Eden fled revolutionary sentiments and headed north to the town. With winter near, the Colonial Brotherhood moved to intercept them before they could leave for Britain.[2]

Historically, Port Roseway was settled by many Loyalists fleeing the Thirteen Colonies, including the United Empire Loyalists and the Duke of Cumberland's Regiment.[1]
