Near the end of the 15th century, the Sage arrived at Long Bay on the coast of Jamaica to locate the Observatory, a task he succeeded at. During his time there, he encountered a local Taíno tribe, eventually gaining their loyalty.[1]
To ensure the Observatory would be protected from intruders in the future, he had these Taíno swear to dedicate their lives and those of their descendants to guarding it in perpetuity.
