imported>Sol Pacificus Grammar fix. Also note that it can be controversial to refer to deities who still have a lot of believers presently as mythology, I had to remove the clause about Durga's "words of harmony" b/c the phrasing is wrong but I don't have time to check the book right now to correct it. |

Hinduism is a religion native to India and one of the oldest religions in the world.[1] In the present day, Hindu deities such as the goddesses Kali[2] and Durga are still revered.[3]
History[edit | edit source]
During the Isu Era, Durga transferred part of her consciousness into a Piece of Eden, the Koh-i-Noor. In 1839, Durga reappeared and took control of Pyara Kaur, who activated the jewel in front of both the Indian Assassin Arbaaz Mir and the British Templar Francis Cotton. Cotton was terrified by her appearance and fired his gun at the goddess, with one of his shots apparently destroying the Koh-i-Noor. The ensuing explosion severed the connection and killed Cotton.[3]
In the 1870s, while living with her husband and fellow Assassin Henry Green in India, the Master Assassin Evie Frye trained with her Indian brethren and learned about their culture and religion. She became especially fascinated with the Hindu goddess Kali, and later gifted a statue of the deity to her brother Jacob Frye during his visit to India.[2]
