Gapihus was a flooded dwarven town and the former hometown to dwarven brothers Fjalar and Galar, who were the murderers of Suttungr's father.
History[edit | edit source]
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi traveled to the flooded settlement and sought out a special "cup" which was inferred to give special properties by Fjalar and Galar. After Havi swam and maneuvered his way into the dwarves' former house, he found the cup but found nothing special about it. Outside the house, he saw a group of jötnar waiting for him. After killing three of them, he left one alive to interrogate, and the warrior revealed that the dwarves had betrayed Havi to Malvigr to remedy their situation. Wanting Malvigr for the Salakar, Havi pressed the warrior further and was told that she was at the dam in Vangrinn. After determining the warrior's fate, Havi left to find Malvigr.[1]
