A former retainer of the Bessho clan, Harumasa, also known as "the Ox," was one of the infamous Shinbakufu.
Still aggrieved by the fall of the Bessho at the Siege of Miki, Bessho Harumasa stoked the flames of rebellion in Harima and gained a following among the disenfranchised. He attempted to lead a second revolt against Hashiba Hideyoshi until Yasuke and Naoe ended his life.
