Danvers was the chauffeur of the Templar Thaddeus Gift, active in London during the early 20th century.
In 1927, as Gift hurriedly exited the nightclub Café de Paris, he told his man to call to Danvers. Danvers reached him and was told to take Gift to his office in the Inner Temple. However, the acting Black Cross Albert Bolden caught up with Gift, chased him, and killed him in a phone booth for his crimes against the Templar Order.[1]
