Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin Jr. (born 1930) is an American former astronaut and aeronautical engineer, and the second person to walk on the Moon. He was the Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing in history. In that mission, he collected an Apple of Eden for the Templar Order.

Desmond solved the puzzle containing the message about the truth of the Moon landing in September of that year.[3] The message in question displayed a popular photograph released to the public of Aldrin on the lunar surface, albeit edited to show an Apple of Eden in front of him. The Templar insignia and Abstergo Industries' logo were also hidden in the negative photo, the former on the flag and the latter on the landing module.[2]
