The Café des Invalides was a café and Assassin social club in the Les Invalides district of Paris, France.
History[edit | edit source]
At some point after receiving stewardship over the Café Théâtre in 1791,[1] the French Assassin Arno Dorian renovated the café with ₣10,000 as a social club for the Assassins. After the upgrades, the Assassin Council delivered a mission notice there for Arno to eliminate four Templars that had infiltrated France's lower house of legislature called the Council of Five Hundred and were attempting to continue the Reign of Terror.[2] They later sent him to investigate a series of brutal mail coach robberies and identify the culprit,[3] and to protect local vineyards from the Royalist insurgents called Chouans.[4]
