Scholar's Estate

The Scholar's Estate was a residence in the Suburb of Kahtabah, within Baghdad's Abbasiyah district. It was nestled between the Kufa Gate of the Round City and the Hammam.

History[edit | edit source]

Strictly reserved for scholars from across the Abbasid Caliphate, the Hidden One Basim ibn Ishaq traced a letter to the estate in search of Zahra, an Order of the Ancients member who had forced Hunayn ibn Ishaq to translate a book written in an unknown language. When he failed to find Zahra, he awaited her return on the rooftops. Once Zahra arrived with her guards, Basim promptly assassinated her, gaining a clue of her leader's identity as Al-Rabisu.[1]
