In Assassin's Creed II, the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze was able to obtain four outfits. These outfits are simply capes with different colors and, for most of them, a different emblem representing a city or family during the Renaissance. It is also possible to obtain two bonus outfits. The first, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's robes, can be unlocked by purchasing it for 30U from Uplay.

In Assassin's Creed II, the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze is able to obtain several outfits. Once an outfit is unlocked and equipped, it will alter Ezio's appearance. Some of these outfits affect gameplay elements, while others are purely cosmetic.
The second, a black set, can be used after purchasing the Assassin's Creed II 3D mobile game, exclusive to the Verizon App Store (not the better-known Assassin's Creed II mobile game, which is available for multiple carriers) wherein the clothes become available at tailors after entering a code in the game's main menu.

*Altaïr's Robes change Ezio's model to Altaïr's, the same seen in Desmond Miles' hallucination sequence. The differences of the models are that the left ring finger is amputated, the right Hidden Blade does not have physical form on the character (despite being usable), and the beard that Ezio gains during the Battle of Forlì sequence is not present, during or after these sequences. Additionally, though Ezio's voice remains the same, he does not speak during taunts, instead only gesturing towards the opponent, similarly to Desmond's taunting motions in the credits scene.
*Altaïr's robes use the same character model seen during Desmond Miles' hallucination in the Rome hideout, evident by the amputated finger, single visible Hidden Blade, despite the dual blades being usable, and different eye color.
*There are several glitches while wearing Altaïr's Robes. If Ezio has no more throwing knives, the holders are still full of them. The scabbard for the knife on his back is also empty, and the animation for putting the knife away shows it being placed on the hip, by the sword, but it disappears once put away. Unlike in the first Assassin's Creed game, there is no scabbard for Altaïr's sword; it simply hangs at his hip with the blade exposed.
*While wearing Altaïr's robes, if Ezio runs out of throwing knives, the holders are still full of them.
*During the memories Play Along and All Things Come to He Who Waits, Ezio won't be wearing the Borgia Guard armor, if you have Altaïr's robes equipped instead. He will still be seen wearing the robes. This doesn't affect either memories. They will still flow as if you are wearing the Borgia Guard Armor
*If Altaïr's robes are worn when acquiring the Hidden Blade, Ezio's robes will replace them, but will switch back once Ezio tests the weapon.
*If wearing the robes of Altaïr when acquiring the Hidden Blade, instead of wearing Altaïr's robes, Ezio's robes will replace them, but after Leonardo gives him the blade, the robes will change into Altaïr's. Also, when Ezio receives the brand on his finger while wearing the outfit during his initiation, a glitch may occur.
*When Ezio receives the brand on his ring finger while wearing Altaïr's robes, a glitch may occur, since the model does not possess the finger.

What if this was all a construction? A masterfully crafted simulation?
This article references the Assassin's Creed series in a real-world context, is written in the present tense, or is partly written in terms of gameplay. To maintain clear perspectives, revise the relevant section(s) so that out-of-universe content is in a "Behind the scenes" and the body adopts an in-universe past tense.

In Assassin's Creed II, the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze is able to obtain several outfits. Once an outfit is unlocked and equipped, it will alter Ezio's appearance. Some of these outfits affect gameplay elements, while others are purely cosmetic.

Capes[edit | edit source]

Plain cape[edit | edit source]

The Plain cape is available after acquiring Giovanni Auditore da Firenze's robes, and has no effect on notoriety.

Medici cape[edit | edit source]

The Medici cape is gifted to Ezio by Lorenzo de' Medici, following the death of Jacopo de' Pazzi. While the cape is worn, Ezio remains incognito in Florence and Tuscany. However, the guards still react to unusual behavior.

Venetian cape[edit | edit source]

The Venetian cape is also unlocked after completing Sequence 11. While the cape is worn, Ezio remains incognito in Venice and Romagna. As with the Medici cape, the guards still react to unusual behavior.

Auditore cape[edit | edit source]

The Auditore cape is unlocked by collecting and depositing 100 feathers scattered throughout Italy. The cape raises Ezio's social status to notorious, for as long as it is worn. Wearing this cape in every region, including the Apennine Mountains, rewards the Show your colors achievement.

Cosmetic outfits[edit | edit source]

Altaïr's robes[edit | edit source]

Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's robes can be purchased from Uplay for 30 Uplay points. The robes feature the amputated ring finger, and a short blade sheath on the back, despite Ezio sheathing all the daggers at his waist.

Temporary outfits[edit | edit source]

Carnevale outfit[edit | edit source]

Worn only during Sequence 9. The outfit features two masks, a metal and a golden one. It also has a unique black cape with gold colored designs.

Borgia Guard armor[edit | edit source]

Worn only in the memories Play Along and All Things Come To He Who Waits.

Florentine Noble attire[edit | edit source]

Worn during the Boys Will Be Boys, You Should See the Other Guy, Sibling Rivalry, Nightcap, Paperboy, Petruccio's Secret, Beat a Cheat, Friend of the Family, Special Delivery and Jailbird memories.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

 • Altaïr's robes use the same character model seen during Desmond Miles' hallucination in the Rome hideout, evident by the amputated finger, single visible Hidden Blade, despite the dual blades being usable, and different eye color.
 • While wearing Altaïr's robes, if Ezio runs out of throwing knives, the holders are still full of them.
 • If Altaïr's robes are worn when acquiring the Hidden Blade, Ezio's robes will replace them, but will switch back once Ezio tests the weapon.
 • When Ezio receives the brand on his ring finger while wearing Altaïr's robes, a glitch may occur, since the model does not possess the finger.
 • The Medici cape can be found in Monteriggioni's church by Desmond in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It is one of the artifacts present in the town.
 • Ezio is awarded the Auditore cape for fully renovating Rome in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Unlike in Assassin's Creed II, the cape allows Ezio to remain incognito, functioning the same as the Borgia cape.
 • The cape worn during the Carnevale bears markings similar to the Assassin insignia.
