The '''Ottomans''' were the leading faction of the [[Ottoman Empire]]. Named after [[wikipedia:Osman I|Osman I]], the founder of the Ottoman dynasty, the Ottomans formed the state's military and ruling classses.

The''' Constantine District''' was one of the four major districts of [[Constantinople]] during the [[Renaissance]]. Home to the city's poorest, it was full of ramshackle wooden buildings with highly mismatched rooftops. Amid the housing stood potent reminders of the city's opulent past, such as the [[Valens Aqueduct]]. The majority of the Byzantine guards that patrolled the streets of Constantinople thrived here in the Constantine district.  
The first appearance of the Ottomans was under their leader Osman I, after whom the group was named.
 
They fought continuous was with the Byzantine Empire and won several victories. In the year 1453, under Sultan Mehmet, the Ottomans took over Constantinople on 29 May and ended Byzantine rule, deposing the last Emperor, Constantine XI Palaiologos.
 
The Ottomans entered a war with Wallachia, whose Count was a Templar. The Assassin [[Ishak Pasha]], who was also a vizier of the Ottoman Empire killed the Count, and let the Turks ake over Wallachia.
 
During the later half of the 15th century, they had brokered a truce with the [[Turkish Assassins|Ottoman Assassins]], via their leader Ishak Pasha. This act led to the Sentinel's betrayal of the assassins as he was Wallachian.
 
Under Sultan Bayezid the Ottomans entered a war with the remnants of the Byzantine Empire, led by Manuel Palaiologos.
