When the dutch had alot of power and money they dicided to explore the Carribean which led them to build large ships like the William Rex.The William Rex had around 72 cannons was stationed in Grand Bahama.It was entually sunk be Pirate Captain Alonzo Batilla in a hard battle!

The William Rex

The William Rex was one of the 12 legendary ships encountered by the pirate Alonzo Batilla during the early 18th century.

A Dutch Man O' War built in the dockyards of Vlissingen, William Rex had 72 cannons and was the flagship of the Dutch Navy during her time.[1] In February 1717, Alonzo sank the William Rex during his time in Grand Bahama.[2]
