Reidar Rigsson (fl. 770s) was a Norse Viking related to the nobility of Trondelag and the fylki of Frosta before Harald Fairhair came to power. He was the son of Rig and husband to Gisla the Axe-Low, and father of Rig Reidarasson and Helga Gislasdottir.

Biography[edit | edit source]

During his lifetime, Reidar gained the name "Reidar the Wise". Reidar fathered two children, Helga and Rig. His whereabouts during Rig's birth are unknown.[1]
