Midas was a king of Phrygia in Greek mythology, best known for the story of gaining a touch that turned everything gold.
Influence[edit | edit source]
According to Leiandros, the Minotaur-trade in Pephka during the 5th century BCE was profitable enough for everyone to "make Midas blush."[1]
Around the same time, a member of the Eyes of Kosmos branch of the Cult of Kosmos was also named Midas, and was a treasurer. Instead of everything turning to gold at his touch, however, everything he touched turned to fire.[2]
