'''Tomiko's Homestead''' was the personal residence of the [[Japan|Japanese]] farmer [[Tomiko]], located within the Katano Foothills of the province of [[Izumi Settsu]].

==History==
The residence was a farm belong to Tomiko's family during the 16th century. Following her parents death during the civil war between the Japanese clans, Tomiko inherited the homestead and slowly rebuilt it.<ref name="From Spark to Flame">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[From Spark to Flame]]</ref> On 30 September 1581, the [[Iga]] [[Fujibayashi Nagato|Nagato]] who was a friend of Tomiko's family, came to the homestead in the midst of [[Oda Nobunaga]]'s [[Tenshō Iga War|invasion]] of Iga. He brought her daughter [[Fujibayashi Naoe|Naoe]] on his [[Kiri|horse]] hoping that Tomiko can treat Naoe's injuries, not withstanding that fact he himself was also injured after being shot in the back with an arrow. After Naoe woke up, she left the homestead in order to pursue a [[Ido Yoshihiro|masked samurai]] who stole a box that she had been tasked to retrieve. Nagato himself woke up much later, and also left Tomiko's homestead in order to assist her daughter. Both of them failed to return as Nagato was subsequently killed while Naoe was heavily wounded<ref name="Fight of the Kakushiba Ikki" /> and was taken in by the monk [[Sorin]] and [[Junjiro]] at the [[Makinoodera Temple]].<ref name="An Unpayable Debt">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[An Unpayable Debt]]</ref>

A few months later, a fully healed Naoe returned to the homestead, reporting to Tomiko of her father's death and showing her a drawing she had made of her father's killers, which she referred to as the [[Shinbafuku|Onryo]]. Fully understanding and empathizing with Naoe's experiences, Tomiko gave her full control of the land, allowing her to establish a hideout to pursue the masked men.<ref name="From Spark to Flame" />
