'''Yodo-dono''' (淀殿, 1569 - 1615) was a [[Japan]]ese concubine and the second wife to [[Toyotomi Hideyoshi]] during the late [[Sengoku period]]. She was the daughter of [[Oichi]], [[Oda Nobunaga]]'s sister, and [[Azai Nagamasa]].

==Biography==
In 1573, Yodo-dono, along with her sisters [[Oeyo]] and {{Wiki|Ohatsu}}, were spared after their uncle [[Oda Nobunaga]] sieged [[Odani]], which led to her father committing ''[[seppuku]]'' and leaving his family in the care of their uncle.<ref name="DB1">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[Database: Azai Nagamasa]]</ref> This led Oichi to seek revenge against Nobunaga and to join the collective [[Shinbakufu]].<ref name="A Prayer for Omi">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' - [[A Prayer for Omi]]</ref> Later, Yodo-dono became the concubine and the second wife to Hideyoshi, bearing him two sons. In 1615, as one of the eldest leaders of the [[Toyotomi clan]], Yodo-dono aided her son Hideyori in the defense of [[Osaka Castle]] from [[Tokugawa Ieyasu]]'s [[Siege of Osaka|attack]]. However, she and Hideyori were believed to have died by committing ''seppuku'' before Ieyasu could claim victory.
