Happy Editing! ^_^

Hey. Nice you showing up around here. Cross-wiki integration, huh? ;D Seems you and Silent have some unresolved issues, I appreciate your commentary at his page, if nothing helps bringing out who he is.
btw, I readed at your profile that you are a SSgt, but you *really* pilot a Thunderbolt II? That's awesome, man! -- D. Cello 17:37, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I've been to this wiki a time or two, but when I popped over yesterday I saw some stuff that caught my eye and decided to stay! I just downloaded the Battle for Forli DLC, so I may need to do some research here! :)
I hadn't intended to make any comments on SilentShadow's page, but then you asked him how he planned to get his walkthrough onto the ME wiki, and I decided to try and be helpful with some advice and well... you saw what happened.
As far as the A-10 T-bolt II goes, I don't actually pilot one, I'm a mechanic on them, and am assigned to one in particular as it's Dedicated Crew Chief. Not quite as cool as flying them, but still pretty cool! SpartHawg948 22:32, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

Definitely! You keep it running, you must almost be it's Artoo =P
I love aircraft since I was a kid, have models and specs posters till today ^^
Any other crafts you worked at? -- D. Cello 03:56, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

It's Artoo, eh? I like that! Yeah, I'm pretty big on airplanes as well. I love airshows, and I buy pretty much every copy of Air Forces Monthly magazine I can get my hands on. As far as other planes though, aside from a little bit of working on some C-130 Hercules transports while I was in training, no, I've never worked on any planes besides the A-10. SpartHawg948 04:04, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

XD I saw one of those C-130's upclose, the thing is huge! I always liked the Lockheed planes, specially the SR-71. When I discovered X-Men's plane was a modified Blackbird, I liked it even more XD
Don't know much about the A-10, though, only that it's a successor to the WWII's P-47. -- D. Cello 05:10, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Here's a couple of decent references. The long and short of it is: It's slow, extremely maneuverable, very heavily armed (including a 30mm cannon the size of a Volkswagen Beetle), parts of it are very heavily armored, and it is designed to take a beating and still make it home safe. But simply, it's one hell of a plane! :) SpartHawg948 06:18, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Wow. A Beetle-sized cannon must give a hell of a punch. oO
I read Wikipedia's page, gonna browse deeply through the other link whenever possible. I searched my specs collection for the A-10's but couldn't find it, gonna search better later.
By the way, I blocked Shadow ;D -- D. Cello 22:19, February 17, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, the rounds that bad boy fires are no joke. The DU rounds (depleted uranium) will punch clean through a tank! Not something you want to find yourself on the receiving end of! If you're interested (not sure if you checked this out or not) here's a couple of other interesting planes: the YA-9, the plane the A-10 beat in the AX Competition, and the Sukhoi Su-25 "Frogfoot", which is generally considered the "Russian A-10" (and I'll admit, it's a good plane, but the A-10 is better! Although I may be just a little bit biased!)
As for SilentShadow, can't say I'm terribly surprised. Oh well. You know the saying, 'can't let one bad apple spoil the bunch.' SpartHawg948 05:46, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, he's blocked and he's friend/other account is here too commenting on his talkpage... Depleted uranium sounds like some sci-fi thing... Ain't ME1 has a ammo upgrade called Depleted Uranium? The one that gives poison damage and stuff?? And though the A-10 is single-seated, have you ever flyed in it? I mean, don't know if they have like, two-seated training versions, but anyway... -- D. Cello 17:01, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

There are toxic and radioactive rounds, I don't believe they are stated to be made from uranium, but given what the rounds do, it would make sense. As for the A-10 and whether there are two-seaters, that is actually a very interesting story:
There were two-seater A-10s that were manufactured. They were called the YA-10B (here's a picture), and there were two that were built. Now, the interesting thing about the A-10B is this: You are correct that two-seat versions of fighters and attack planes are usually trainers, but the A-10B wasn't a trainer. It was called the N/AW A-10 (for Night/Adverse Weather). The A-10, as originally built, was great during the day, but not so good at night, so they made a special two-seat night attack version. The Air Force tested it out, and decided not to order it. Of the two that were built, one crashed and was destroyed, and the other currently is on display at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
So no, I've never gotten to fly in one. I did get to fly in a Lockheed Martin C-141 Starlifter once as for an incentive flight. If you think the C-130 is big, wait till you see a -141! :) SpartHawg948 23:52, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
