Edits to Bayek article[edit source]
Hi Somker. Firstly I'd like to welcome you to the Wiki (since I noticed you haven't received our automated welcome message). I've noticed that you've been making a lot of edits to the Bayek article of late, and doubtless you've noticed that many of these edits have been reverted by other users (myself included). Unfortunately, your most recent edit has also been reverted for a number of reasons that I'd like to list below, in the hopes that you take on the feedback and implement it going forward:
- Articles need to be sourced as per the Sourcing policy (in fact, our requirements have gotten more stringent in recent months and now require sourcing to particular in-game memories, not just the game itself).
- For historical characters and activities, articles need to be written in the past tense. Both the Curse of the Pharaohs section you just added, as well as the Sinai section you added previously (which I have now fixed) were written in the present tense.
- In this most recent edit you've linked to several Wikipedia articles, rather than their on-site equivalent (e.g. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramesses_II Ramesses II] rather than [[Ramesses II]]), you also notice that you've linked directly via their URLs rather than using a wikilink "[[ ]]".
- There are also general grammar conerns which have been the cause for the majority of reverts of your edits.
Please take a look at the rewritten Arrival in Sinai section to see how it should be laid out. if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask on my talk page. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 16:32, April 17, 2018 (UTC)
