Could you please stop? Brotherhood does not equal Assassin's Creed III, Revelations is not IV. Sure, they may be the third and fourth games of the series, but are they titled Assassin's Creed III? No. These games are main games, but they're not III, which Ubisoft says will be released in 2012, titled: Assassin's Creed III. So if Brotherhood is really AC III, then what is this other AC III Ubisoft talks about in interviews? Next year are you going to be telling me that the game titled Assassin's Creed III is really Assassin's Creed V and chop and change everything on articles? Stop, please. --THIEF 22:39, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

In the quotes provided, no one actually says "Assassin's Creed III", Brotherhood IS III, because it is a direct sequel to II.--Eduardog3000 Ed G

Nope. Ubisoft explictly stated that Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood before release was not going to be III, and that III would have a totally different setting and Assassin. --THIEF 05:56, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

So, we can say the numbers depend on the Assassin, not the modern day happenings with Desmond, meaning Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed: Revelations are part of "II", and then "III" will be another ancestor and could have multiple games. That is the way I now see it and will leave the page "Assassin's Creed III" alone.--Eduardog3000 Ed G 02:46, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
