In the summary of an edit you just made you said Al Mualim was Christian. i didnt know that, interesting though. where did you find that out? CarloGrimaldi 23:34, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

In the game- The fact he's Templar says he's Christian...... Historically, he's based on Rashid ad-Din Sinan who became Christian in a bid to get the Crusaders to take on Saladin alongside the remnants of his order....... EchoAltair 23:43, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Assassins....[edit source]

EchoAltair, nowhere in the game does it say that the Assassins and Templars were Muslim and Christian respectively; Vidic in fact, clearly states that the Templars are an atheist religion, and this is further supported by Borgia in ACII when he informs Ezio he became Pope merely to gain access to the staff, and had no faith in Christianinty. As for Altair, he may well have been half caucasian, half arabic, but that has absolutely no bearing on his religios standing, whatsoever.

You seem to be under the mistaken impression, that just becase a few members were brought up in a Catholic world, that they followed Catholicism themselves, and even if I had seen Ezio weilding a Cross crying "God compels you", it still wouldn't convince me that just because one member was Catholic, the enitre organisation was as well; members and the organisation are two different creatures entirely, I would suggest you don't confuse the two.

Finally, I would appreciate you not trying to belittle me, I find it highly insulting to my intelligence, and myself personally. I am fully aware what 'atheist' and 'agnostic' mean, and the difference between the two. Need I remind you that agnosticism is in fact a disengagement from religion, and as such shouldn't be mentioned in your arguement at all. Also, to quote your comment on my talk page "The Templars wanted one religion (Christianity) were noone would wage religious wars and Assassins fought for free will and the right to pray to any God they wished.... This, if nothing else is mentioned throughout the game at any given opportunity.... Or did ignorance rule that out too??......" As I have mentioned previously, the Templars did not want one religion, they wanted world peace; and just because the Assassins fought for the free will to pray to any God one wished, does not mean they were religious themselves; to quote Voltaire – "I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it."

So please, unless you can provide a source explicitly stating that the Order itself was not an atheist religion, please stop changing what has been sourced. Hopefully ignorance won't rule out you complying with my wish… thank you. -- Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 14:25, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
