Hidden Blade[edit source]
Hi, user. First of all, I apologize for my English - I am not anglophone, but I'm trying doing my best.
In second place, I would like discuss with you about the page Hidden Blade: I think it would be a good thing to add that Edward Kenway's blade was decorated both both by Assassins' emblem and by Pirates' skull. In fact, every game's protagonist has a particulare blade, and this detail, thus not having any influence on gameplay, makes Edward's blade unique, and shows one of Black Flag's main themes, his double loyalty. - Info on Edward's blade is already on his page, in the trivia. He also doesn't really show any double loyalty throughout the game - he's in it for his own profits, and then abandons profit for the Assassins.
- There's also the fact he received that particular blade at random from Du Casse, so it wasn't particularly designed for him in mind, making the engraved skull even less significant. --83.30.160.154 21:27, May 21, 2015 (UTC)
- No, I checked: the trivia only describe blade's mechanism, don't talk about this particular.
- And as you can check looking this image,
when Edward gets Walpole's broken blade, the blade has Assassins' emblem, but not Pirates' skull (it's obvious, Walpole wasn't a pirate). So Edward added it later, clearly to show his appartenence to Pirate republic. He's seeking money, like all the pirates, but he's loyal to Nassau, too, and proved it by helping Blackbeard to get medicines for the town and by refusing to surrender.
