I still go with my explanation of "his movement style changes over the course of the game, and that gameplay was mid-to-late in the story. Yknow, similar to how Connor actually gets creases on his face and looks progressively older through the game." Or perhaps he just moves like that in the Animus loading screen, we don't know yet.
