One moment which shouldn't be forgotten is in Brotherhood when Ezio gets into Castel Sant’Angelo and sees Rodrigo Borgia lying there, poisoned by his own son just moments before – and Ezio pays his respect to him. We all know that for all the time in ACII he hated him and chased him out of revenge for the murder of his father and his brothers. Some people crave their whole lives for revenge. Ezio, however, realized that killing Rodrigo wouldn't bring his family back. And in the end he maybe had a little respect for Rodrigo since he wished him a peaceful rest.

Definitely a favorite moment of mine was Ezio's last words from his letter in Embers.

"When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment.

Love, liberty, and time: once so disposable, are the fuels that drive me forward. And love, most especially, mio caro. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters. And for the vast and wonderful world that gave us life, and keeps us guessing. Endless affection, mia Sofia."

Safety and Peace, Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
