I guessed Desmond would go to New York. I guessed that the William M. was Desmond's father. I guessed that Lucy was a Templar. I also guessed that Desmond would seek some kind of temple (later revealed to be the Grand Temple).

My point is, it's not entirely difficult to make accurate guesses.
