The Templars are pushing extremely hard on the Assassin's, doubt they have any space to send in reinforcements.

EDIT: Where did you get that from? saying our Assassin's are Ninjas goes strictly against the cannon, we have enough of those already. Hell, they even said Feudal Japan would be boring, if anything, they are against the idea.
