Ezio has to have 2 (or more) kids in order for Desmond Miles to receive him as a revelant match to Subject 16 at the start of AC2. If it was Ezio's son/daughter who has 2 children instead of Ezio, they would *most likely* get Ezio's son/daughter as the matching ancestor to Ezio.
