They are evil. Look at the definition of evil and look at what the templars have done. They kill innocent people and get rid of their allies once they have fulfilled their purpose. They ordered the execution of good people (eg-J.F.Kennedy) They are EVIL. Only evil people would sought peace through world conquest.
