I guess I had my facts wrong, but that doesn't mean that Connor wouldn't be a part of it in some form. Lafayette didn't even like the Monarchy, and his work with the National Guard was an attempt to maintain order. I don't know. There are more possibilities, and I am a bit confident in the fact that Connor will have another game. Juno did say he would have another purpose, more or less, like you quoted, Sima. As for the whole ancestor bit, that isn't particulalry true. I did mention the epilogue, and that the person reliving Connor's memories may not even have been a decendant of him at that point. Those were abstergo employees speaking, so I guess that putes things into view. What you said about the injury, I hadn't noticed either. Perhaps it will heal eventually, but was more major than I had assumed. If not, well, I don't really know.
