The Phrygian cap and Masonic eye also appear on American coinage and billets. It always was either the American or French Revolution. If the ending of Brotherhood referred to the French Revolution, then it would make no sense for them to drop by the American Revolution first.
Also, AC3 wraps up Desmond's story, so unless for some reason we get a different modern day protagonist who is a descendant of Connor and for some reason jumps right into reliving Connor's memories from after 1783, it would be unlikely to see Connor in another game. Also keep in mind that we got only one game with Altaïr because Sef - Desmond's next ancestor - was born six years after Assassin's Creed while Flavia was born in 1513, one year after Assassin's Creed: Revelations. It may very well be possible that Connor conceived Desmond's next ancestor (in that bloodline) in 1783, preventing Desmond from viewing any more of his memories.
