It most likely is. Nothing hints to it being non-canonical. Chapter 1 is about Bartolomeo during the Battle of Agnadello and the questions Abstergo asks you after it hint to Bartolomeo's motives actually being a Piece of Eden, just like in AC II's database entry.

Why would it be non-canonical anyways?
