You're either an ancestor or not, using "direct" is redundant. And Jenny is not Desmond's ancestor, because if she were, AC4 would not be playable.

Bernard and Linette, Edward and Tessa, Haytham and Ziio, Connor and an unknown woman. And all of their ancestors. That's how it goes. Jenny doesn't factor into the ancestral line.
