I think he is, he only uses the apple for knowledge, he begins to hate it as he gets older in age. I like the comments by the way, thank you everyone! This is such a long ongoing debate, people usually prefer Ezio to Altair gameplay-wise, because you can do so much more with him. In terms of character I will always prefer Altair though :D
