Ok i now see the point of the two empty portals in the animus island

when you start the game UNTIL the animus deletion the portals were broken

Now when the animus is fixed and the island returned the portals are fixed

Now you remember the audio file DLC right??

now when Clay hugged Desmond and saved him he transmitted some data from him to Desmond so that some of clays memories are now in desmonds dna

so those portals are for clay and will be in a DLC.. im 100% sure.
