Crazywarfire here but please, call me Crazy. I have no idea if anyone has done a review on the newest DLC for ACR so in that case, I will make one.

WARNING!: article DOES contain spoilers.

Starters.[edit | edit source]

I orginally wanted to get it for the Vlad Tepes' Sword and Altaïr robes but after a while I go "Hey why not play the story eh?" and so I start it and then I finish it.

The whole reason I wanted this. 1.
Whole reason why I wanted this. 2.

Gameplay.[edit | edit source]

So you play as Clay Kaczmarek A.K.A. the mysterious subject 16 who is in the Animus while "confronting" voices from his past. The gameplay is very similar to Desmond's Journey in which it is in first person view. I'm very use to first person shooters so really there isn't much of a difference except you're firing random blocks and ramps into thin air and jumping on them. There are seven mission/memories total. Like regular Ezio/Altaïr missions in ACR, there is the fully synch challenges however, it is mainly on collecting items called "decipher fragments" (more on that in a minute.) and/or letter which give insight on the story. Moving on.

Story[edit | edit source]

So you basically start out on Animus island albeit, without the extremely blue sky and the blocks sticking out of the ground. You go through a door and you see what you will never hope to see, your name on a tombstone at a memorial service being buried alive. (Waking up at my memorial service would defiantly ruin my day.) After that you play this whole complicated maze which I can guarantee you that at one point you WILL fall down and die or get sliced in half by random lasers. Then there is your "initiation" which you preform a weird version of the Leap of Faith. Then you do a memory which you break into abstergo and steal intel of some kind. Then you get captured on purpose and sent into the animus. (Contrary to what the trailer had you believe, Kristen Bell or "Lucy" doesn't make an "actually" appearance. Se is just mentioned a lot and she is seen on like 3 pictures.) After than, Juno tells Clay that he needs to help Deamond. Clay refuses and revealed that (insert beginning of very dramatic music here.) Lucy is a Templar (Extremely dramatic music's chorus plays.) Clay then accepts to help because Lucy won't let him escape. Clay then "kills himself" inside the animus. (you basically fall down a shaft and see the cryptic messages on the walls and floors.) Then surprise, you restart and go through a loop till you collect all decipher fragments. After that you go into a different door and Clay sends a rather sad last email to his father.

Overall: a rather sad story once you play it and understand it.

Bonus[edit | edit source]

You unlock the Following:

  • 3 multipalyer characters. (Ottoman Jester/Turkish Harlequin, Ottoman doctor and the crusader)
  • Single player mission "Impalers Prison" (Unlocks Vlad Tepe's sword and you get to viciously stab, twist, slice, disembowel and scar your enemies for life.)
  • 3 Single player outfits. (Armor of Brutus, Turkish Assassin armor and my favorite, Altaïr's robes.)
Damn... Ezio is PISSED.
