My Username of Power and Might[edit | edit source]
I suppose I should start by explaining why I chose the username Irritated Alim, right? Well, I wanted a distinctive username that didn't need numbers to allow for its individuality, and I wanted it to be related to Assassin's Creed because this is, after all, the Assassin's Creed wiki. Since the inspiration for the series is drawn from the Syrian Hashshashin, (Arabic: حشّاشين Ḥashāshīn, also Hashishin, Hashashiyyin, or Assassins: See Wikipedia's page - Hashashin) naturally I went looking for a suitable Arabic word.
Doing a bit of extremely professional research, I google-ed a bunch of different words I thought would be cool to use. Miraculously, I stumbled upon Alim, which is the approxmate translation for scholar in Arabic. Cool, right?
Anyway, I am what is politely termed a grammar obsessed maniac, or as some prefer, Grammar Nazi. So I will now proceed to fix the grammar and spelling on this wiki as often as possible. Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect, but at least I can fix basic mistakes that most people make out of speed and a lack of proof-reading.
The reason for having irritated in front of it is because I am irritated. I tried having this username with the proper Arabic-to-English format, and it blew up in my face by creating link problems with the wiki code itself. I suppose it just isn't programmed to tolerate special characters.
