Backstory[edit | edit source]
Jay Buni is an Chinese assassin recruited by Edward Kenway to be part of his crew. He was a penniless, homeless kid growing up in Beijing. He was found by the Chinese Brotherhood mentor and was trained in free running, pickpocketing and combat. He then heard stories of an ancient piece that came from the heavens. This led him to the Caribbean. Upon arriving in the Caribbean, he was asking around about the artifact in a tavern, which attracted the attention of Edward. He asked him about the treasure, and Jay replied " Are you Edward? Edward Kenway? I've heard a lot about you!". This attracted guards but Jay and Edward quickly dealt with them. They retreated to the Jackdaw where Jay recieved the invitation to join his crew.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Jay is a little paranoid at times, and exaggerates things often. He cares for the weak, and is often found lending money to poor children, just like he was. He misses China, and keeps an inscribed sword, which says 争取所有你希望生活, which means "Fight for all you hope to live for".
