Talk:Louis Mills
Assassin?[edit source]
Why is Mills an Assassin when he's chasing Haytham for killing another templar? Rotionpotion (talk) 14:12, November 4, 2012 (UTC)
- Haytham is a Templar, that other man was just a person that knew Haytham. The other man was not a Templar, more likely an Assassin Associate. Mills is also an Assassin Associate, and is trying to get the 'key' back. —unsigned comment by EmeraldCorruption (talk · contr)
- Is it actually stated anywhere that he is an Assassin, or is this wild speculation? 'Likely' suggest that is assumption or speculation, and that is not allowed on articles. I have not played the game yet. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 16:29, November 4, 2012 (UTC)
- No, it never is mentioned that he is an assassin. I tried to put in likely with my bio writing, as it is assumable based off of his conversation with Haytham before his death. He specifically says: "Did you think you could escape from London so easily after what you did at the opera? That we wouldn't notice? That we wouldn't follow?".
- In Forsaken Haytham says that the attempt on his life was no doubt by the assassin's, so yes, Mills was an assassin.Templar king (talk) 18:07, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
- I think that the Aquila's database article revealing that it was the Aquila that pursued Haytham and the Providence, kind of confirms it. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 18:32, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
An Error[edit source]
Should it be mentioned in the Trivia that Mills has his last name literally translated in the Polish version of AC3 during the battle against him although his last name everywhere else in the game doesn't translate his last name literally into Polish?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 20:09, December 25, 2012 (UTC)
Death?[edit source]
That discrepancy mentioned in the trivia made me think - are we sure that Mills died? He lost the swordfight, true, but was he ever referred to as dead in the dialogue?
Chances are, he was wounded in the fight, but came out of it alive, which would clear up the contradiction (and would also be consistent with his sudden second thoughts) - Sligneris (talk) 20:07, August 10, 2014 (UTC)
Haytham wouldn't have taken that risk, plus Mills doesn't appear afterwards. And judging by the dialogue, it was a duel to death.Bovkaffe (talk) 20:12, August 10, 2014 (UTC)
I'm not even sure what's happening, since Braddock suffers from a similar problem - he should have died on the spot, with Haytham also not wanting to take this risk, but then here it is, Washington taking him alive from the bettlefield for him to die 4 days later. - Sligneris (talk) 20:34, August 10, 2014 (UTC)
- What Mills' bio says is obviously an oversight by Ubi. Meanwhile, Braddock's death in the game was probably meant to be all "haha die motherfucker", whereas the novel probably stuck to what happened historically, where Braddock's death was due to wounds sustained on the battlefield (I think).Crook The Constantine District 20:39, August 10, 2014 (UTC)
Ubisoft added that because Braddock was a historical character. That's how he died historically.Bovkaffe (talk) 20:35, August 10, 2014 (UTC)
