Historicity[edit source]

It doesn't have to based on Richard I though, and nowhere does it resemble him. It can simply just be a lieutenant by Ubisoft for no particular reason, like the other lieutenants that aren't based on ingame or mythological characters. XOdeyssusx (talk) 14:58, March 21, 2019 (UTC)

Neither do Artemis/Athena lieutenants resemble the images/statues of the goddesses, so stating resemblance (or lack thereof) as basis for anything is...questionable, imo. Same goes for the lieutenant Odysseus: not much in the way of resemblance to the mural we have of him. Sadelyrate (siniath) 15:05, March 21, 2019 (UTC)
Whilst I feel that the avatars Artemis and Odysseus are fairly clear-cut references to the historical Greek individuals (and gods) of the same names, it's quite apparent to me that "Lionheart" has no connection to Richard I of England. Not only do the two characters not look alike, but Richard I is such a minor character in AC-lore that there's no reason why he would warrant a character avatar. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 15:48, March 21, 2019 (UTC)
It's just pure random coincidence that said lieutenant bears the epithet most associated with said king, and which he is best known by? Got it. Sadelyrate (siniath) 16:24, March 21, 2019 (UTC)
There are a number of people who have been given the epithet "Lionheart," like British racing driver Brendon Hartley or even professional wrestler Chris Jericho. It's equally likely that the epithet is a reference to these two individuals as it is a reference to Richard I. The avatar bears no physical or aesthetic (by which I mean clothing) resemblance to any of these individuals, however. Even if it did, it would be speculative of us to state that Lionheart is definitely based off of one of these individuals. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 16:56, March 21, 2019 (UTC)
Has any other who has claimed said epithet appeared, or even been mentioned, within the AC-franchise other than king Richard I? The visual aspect... doesn't hold water with Artemis/Athena/Odysseus, either, so that's a moot point as proof of anything. (Frankly, I'm disappointed that lieutenant Pegasos wasn't even a horse.)
