Are we going to stick by the fake name Henry Green, or will we be using Jayadeep Mir? Considering the many names he goes by in Underworld, Green being one of them, I think it would be appropriate to go with his personal name. Green's just a pseudonym. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 13:07, November 6, 2015 (UTC)

I don't think that's wise. Everyone knows him as Henry Green, not Jayadeep Mir. It's not mentioned in Syndicate except for in Evie's notebook, which I think anyone has hardly read. GamerSophie (talk) 13:16, November 6, 2015 (UTC)
That's not an issue; we'd set up "Henry Green" as a redirect to the new article. Anyone searching for Henry Green would simply be directed to Jayadeep Mir instead. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 13:20, November 6, 2015 (UTC)
I just typed up a sizeable paragraph explaining why we should keep it under the current name, and then I realised the example I was going to give to support it didn't apply. Since we appear to be naming articles on a case-by-case basis, I would suggest we follow the precedent set with Ratonhnhaké:ton and move it to his birth name. Whilst his birth name is only ever mentioned twice in Syndicate (the higher tier of canon) and that's only in the database entry, and Evie's notebook, and he doesn't ever officially relinquish the name at all. That being said, I also wouldn't consider his use of the Green name as that of a pseudonym; it's not concealing his identity, or the fact that he is an Assassin (to those who are aware of the Assassins, at least). It's simply a westernised name, like "Connor". --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 13:17, November 6, 2015 (UTC)

Actually Henry Green is very much a pseudonym used to conceal his identity. Like "the Ghost", it's one of several pseudonyms he used. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 14:10, November 6, 2015 (UTC)

Yes: 1843, Born Jayadeep Mir... 1860,, then stripped of his identity and codenamed The Ghost... then used Bharat Singh to infiltrate the Templars... 1862, discovered, so he stopped to use the Singh name... 1865 his mother gave him a new alias, Henry Green. Henry Green during three years, Jayadeep during seventeen... I vote for changing the page to Jayadeep. In addition, we use their birth names on the pages of Al Mualim, El Cakr and Connor, so why not do the same for Henry?Maxattac (talk) 15:19, November 6, 2015 (UTC)
Page should definitely be moved to Jayadeep Mir, in keeping with the naming of articles so far. Of course, by this point it'd have to be moved by an admin due to the redirect being in the way. This should be an established policy with guidelines and stuff explaining that this only applies to pseudonyms, titles and the like. -- Zero-ELEC (talk) 06:52, November 7, 2015 (UTC)
I agree on changing the name to Jayadeep Mir and redirecting Henry Green to the article. How about Maxwell Roth's then? The Database says his birth name is Oberon, should we change that too? And then there's Ned Wynert. Misphantom (talk) 08:52, November 7, 2015 (UTC)
The database implies Maxwell's backstory might be made up, so I think we should just stick with the name we have now, rather than move it to Oberon. As for Ned, moving his article to "Netta" would be ridiculously disrespectful, so we're definitely not doing that. Crook The Constantine District 09:07, November 7, 2015 (UTC)
He's right, no one move his article to Netta because that is disrespectful to the fact he is a male. (If you know what I mean.) GamerSophie (talk) 18:59, November 7, 2015 (UTC)

Eagle Vision?[edit source]

Does Jayadeep have the ability to use Eagle Vision? During the memory where Evie infiltrates the Kenway Mansion where they reach it by using a map only visible through Eagle Vision, he comments on the map en route to the Mansion, saying something to the effect of "I think this map is pointing to the Kenway Mansion!".

Could it be that he's viewing the map itself through Eagle Vision or is he simply reacting to the surroundings? Does Underworld say either way? It'd make sense for him to have Eagle Vision, given that his father did. -- Zero-ELEC (talk) 21:20, November 7, 2015 (UTC)

His father had eagle vision, so I think it is a safe assumption, however at this point an assumption is all it is. 208.107.215.16 18:36, November 8, 2015 (UTC)

Maybe it's mentioned in the Underworld novel somewhere? I haven't read it myself though, so I can't confirm :s Crook The Constantine District 18:39, November 8, 2015 (UTC)
Just read the part of the book where Evie reads the map, and it's super vague as to whether he read the map as well. Heck it's super vague as to whether she read it with Eagle Vision, just says: "As if on cue Evie saw how documents inserted into the notebook came together as a map. Having studied it, she snatched it up, going to leave." and that "The two of them followed the map, excited by the new discovery (...)". "Something occurred to Henry. Could they be heading in the direction of Queen Square?" Nothing to indicate Eagle Vision. Of course I haven't actually read the book, just skipped to that part, but so far nothing. -- Zero-ELEC (talk) 01:50, November 9, 2015 (UTC)

Throwing this on here, but this goes for Evie and Jacob's pages as well - do we really need to put the "KG" in the text itself? I feel like their infoboxes suffice in pointing out they're part of the Order of the Sacred Garter, and to be honest, I just don't like the way the "KG" is integrated into the text. It feels really random imo. I'd even settle for it being turned into a description like "...and a Knight of the Order of the Sacred Garter". Thoughts? Crook The Constantine District 17:37, November 17, 2015 (UTC)

The description is already there so we don't have to add it but yes, no need to add KG to the description. To the infobox in brackets next to the 'Order of the Sacred Garter' sure, if it's needed there instead. GamerSophie (talk) 17:56, November 17, 2015 (UTC)

Outfit[edit source]

Anyone else find it odd that he'd continue to wear his Indian Assassin outfit in London? Wouldn't it be more practical to wear something else for the sake of blending in? I mean, Ezio wore a different outfit when he went to Constantinople, and Arno had a different outfit in Franciade.SPARTAN-501 (talk) 05:30, December 12, 2015 (UTC)

National pride? :P There were also a lot of Indian immigrants in London at the time who wore traditional Indian robes, so perhaps that's what Henry's going for. Crook The Constantine District 09:13, December 12, 2015 (UTC)

Worst Assassin in history?[edit source]

(Obviously spoilers!) I screamed no at the TV when Evie said yes to this guy's proposal. It seemed so forced. No real connection between them, and he played a total damsel in distress role throughout the game. It's not cute when it's a dude who's supposed to be a badass needing rescued every 20 minutes. Apparently there's some stuff in a book about him, but honestly expecting the person playing the game to read their books to understand a single redeeming factor in a character is just bad writing. How is this guy the "leader" of the Assassins in London? His skillset seems to suggest he'd be killed in the opening sequence in literally any other AC game. Why is it the one time I want the "love interest" to die a horrible death, they live happily ever after? I finished the flower collection today and I was not happy about it. Hey, first of all, I would like to remind you that the talk pages should only be reserved for topics relevant to improving the article itself, not on personal merits and opinions regarding the subject. The header message at the top of this discussion page states this explicitly.
As for your critique, I should point out that just as in any organization, there are various members who specialize in different areas and have different sets of skills. Jayadeep is not a field agent, but for him to be a Mentor, he must have had valuable administrative and management skills. Also, I appreciated that the game broke from established gender roles by having Jayadeep as a damsel in distress. Guys can be in trouble too, and girls can be their saviors. It is consistent with the series' progressive attitudes. There are men whose merits may lay in martial prowess, and there are men whose merits are in other virtues, such as compassion and emotional sensitivity, which are not and should not strictly be the providence of women. While ideally a person should be badass and have an affinity for emotional intelligence and empathy, being deficient in the former when he is strong in the latter does not mean that this person is irredeemably horrible. Ohhh forgot my original point, which is that the worst Assassins in history would probably be: Louis Mills, Louis-Joseph Gaultier, and Kesegowaase in my opinion. :P. Not too fond of Callum Lynch either. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 02:45, February 16, 2017 (UTC)
