Sergas the Lynx Man

Sergas the Lynx Man was a mercenary who operated in Greece during the 5th century BCE. He was an eccentric man who modelled himself off of lynxes.
Biography[edit | edit source]
During the Peloponnesian War, Sergas crossed the paths with the Spartan misthios Kassandra after someone had placed a bounty on his head, and he fell before her.[1]
Personality and traits[edit | edit source]
Considered charismatic, Sergas emulated the lynxes he felt a kinship with. He roamed the world with his pet lynx and enjoyed purring like them as well, especially right before he delivered the killing blow. He assumed that this would be soothing to his victims and thus dubbed it "a beautiful death".[2]
