Orphnaeus

Orphnaeus was the immortal mount of the Isu who was revered as the Greek god Hades. Orphnaeus drew Hades' chariot alongside Aethon, Nycteus and Alastor.
Biography[edit | edit source]
At some point during the Peloponnesian War, Orphnaeus was discovered in Elysium and not his home-realm of the underworld. Persephone tasked Kassandra, a living human, to retrieve the beast. Kassandra eventually found him not too far away in the Asphodel Arboretum with a man named Mulios, who had nicknamed the beast 'Orphie'.[1]

- The name of the steed is derived from the Greek word ὄρφνη (órphnē), meaning 'darkness'.
- The names of Hades' mounts are taken from the Roman poet Claudius Claudianus' work The Rape of Proserpine.
- The player has four choices on what to do with Orphnaeus;

- Kassandra keeps him
- Give to Adonis and his rebellion
- Give to Persephone
