Marshal Jean-Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, comte de Rochambeau (1725 – 1807) was a French nobleman and general. He helped the United States to defeat the British Army during the American Revolutionary War.[1]
After the Battle of the Chesapeake in 1781, he and George Washington besieged Charles Cornwallis in Yorktown.[2] And he played a critical role in the battle.[1]
