Forum:Which PS3 editions have DLC on disc?
Hi!
I bought a PS3 recently and I'd like to get ACII, ACB, ACRe and ACIII. Can you advise me which editions have all the DLCs and updates already on disc? The information on the net is often contradictory. It seems ACII GOTY and GOTY Platinum should have DLC on disc, but I can't find reliable info about the other games.
Also, is there a version of AC for PS3, like the PC director's cut version, with extra side missions and fast travel?
I'd just like to install and play the complete games 10 years from now when PSN is long gone, which is why I stopped buying PC versions after ACII.
Thanks!

To my knowledge, only AC2 GOTY had the DLCs on-disc. Which kind of makes sense since that was supposed to be the original 2009 release but they didn't have the time to finish 2 sequences before the deadline. Kind of a d*ck move, I know but at least now S12&S13 are on disc. Also - the AC2DLC is somewhat bugged if you would get the downloadable version. Everything was fixed in the GOTY edition. (Though the bugs might've been a 360-exclusive issue and not on PS3)
ACB, ACR, AC3 DaVinci, Ottoman & Washington editions come with code coupons. Ergo, you gotta get brand new copies, otherwise you risk not getting the codes (obviously :P)
The same applies to AC Anthology (AC2 - on disc, the rest - coupons). Heritage Collection is a bare-bones version with no DLCs, besides AC2. (because of the development deadline fiasco explained above)
Ps.: I'm a little worried about PSN shutting down in the future as well. But the 7th gen online services are much more profitable than any that came before (Original Xbox Live, Dreamcast etc) so maybe there will still be a way to get the DLCs. Hopefully. And if not, we can always hope Ubisoft will release some sort of 'Full HD' colection on PS4.
